How Did Bush Do Here in the Hills?  

President Bush included  Farmington Hills on his campaign trail, but did it pay off?  Here are the results:  President Bush lost to John Kerry in Farmington Hills by 3000 votes, and by 2800 votes between Farmington and Farmington Hills.
"This is a concern we have to deal with said a GOP representative, There is much work to be done here in Farmington Hills.  We lost important elections here, not by a lot, but we lost.  We have to get busy and reinvigorate our local party."

Election Day Around Town

Aldo Vagnozzi visited several polls election day,  "Things have changed a lot from the old days.  People don't like to have literature pushed onto them entering the polls.  I just shake people's hands"

When asked what are his plans for the following day, he said, " I am going to sleep in."

 

   

Largent's victory party located at Cowley's in downtown Farmington, Wayne Beerbower, president of the Farmington Hills Police Officers Association and Bill Smith, long-time Republican activist, give their attention to the big screen as results come in. Supporters, cold and wet, working long hours at the polls greeting voters.  "I really enjoy meeting the people" said Ruth  Ploski , a Largent supporter.  "That's what really makes this work fun." Voting for the first time!  Amber Hall, a recent graduate from Harrison High School.  "It's exciting to vote, but I need to learn more about the issues before I feel totally comfortable."
